Fare well Frank
The last bail has fallen from the old wooden wicket stumps!
You may be out but for all of us you will always be “Not Out”!
We are now only left with wonderful memories of an elegant batsman and quick wicket keeper and an extraordinary teammate.
You leave Cricketklubben Soranerne as a legend within our shared passion for the Cricket Sport.
You were active in the Club for almost fifty years including the Golden years in the sixties.
You leave an enduring mark on many people within the cricket community in Denmark:
- From your tenure in our Club, which you joined in 1958/59 upon arriving in Denmark,
- Your impactful cricket skills and talents which you shared so generously with us for more than six decades,
- To your education of new cricket players as coach at Sorø Akademi Skole.
To Leila and the Pearson family:
Thank you for sharing Frank with us – we will cherish his memory in our hearts and we are blessed and thankful to have known Frank all these years. On behalf of us all in Cricket Club Soranerne
Fastest 50 runs
Fastest 50 runs in T-20 match: New Club record was set in the T-20 match between Soranerne 1 vs. KB 2 on May 20th.
Krishna Chaitanya Mikkilineni scored 50 runs in 20 balls erasing the old record held by Pankaj Singh who had scored 50 runs in 24 balls.
New fixed Sight Screen installed
Today the Club’s new fixed Sight Screen was installed at our cricket ground in Gentofte Sportspark. The new Sight Screen has be delivered and installed by Metalworx.
The funding has been realized through generous contribution from our benefactors Gentofte Kommune Fritid and Dansk Idrætsforbund.
Construction:
- 4 iron poles cemented in the ground
- 40 sqm wooden cover
- wooden slabs is meshed for strong wind protection

Launch of Club’s new website
Today the Club launches our new web site in a new design and build on modern technology. The goal is to present Cricketklubben Soranerne in the on-line world with an elegant and welcoming signature the Club can be proud of.
The objectives has been:
- to provide general information about the Club for current and new members
- present the Club with an inviting signature based on our design manual
- build the new site on modern web technology including responsiveness and fast upload
- easy content mangement
- interaction through online application form and contact form
- easy access to collaborating partners and their web sites
We hope you like our new web site. You are welcome to send feed back for changes and good ideas for new content.
PS: at launch date there will be some content not fully developed and missing. New pictures will also be updated in the coming months.
